I never know how to start these blog posts, so I figure hello there is a good greeting and jumping off point.
I’m not sure if I’ve mentioned on here, but I had a baby! He was born on March 28th and is the best little boy on the planet. I give him alllll the heart eyes.
Life sure has changed in many ways after the arrival of our little boy, but one thing in particular is that I’m much more aware of harsh chemicals when I’m cleaning. I noticed that I cleaned the bathroom with some 409 and had a headache for the rest of the day. If cleaning products can affect me like that, what will they do to my little guy?
So, I decided I needed a more natural approach to cleaning but I still needed it to be effective. Enter my mom. She mentioned that when she was young all that was used was vinegar and baking soda and that it did just fine!
I decided to give it a try. Guess what? It’s by far the BEST cleaner I have ever used. My bathroom and kitchen were spic and span after using it and while vinegar isn’t the best smelling liquid, it was much more pleasant that the smell of 409.
The baking powder and vinegar cleaned my sink so well that it was sparkling – like legit sparkling. It was the cleanest I’ve ever seen it. I also had no problem with the chrome faucets. It worked super well.
Not only does this work great, it’s cheap and it’s all natural – no harsh chemicals!
Have you tried this? Did you have good results? I don’t think I’m ever going back.
